Monthly Reset: September 2025
Happy September everyone! The ‘ber months are finally here. The best time of the year is starting and I’m ecstatic! I’m so excited for the weather to cool down, start binging all my fall favorites, exploring new recipes, hosting seasonal get-togethers and DIY nights — I could honestly go on forever.
September monthly reset routine is here and I’m talking about goal setting for a new month, resetting for fall, my monthly favorites and how I’m celebrating the changing season. It’s time to reflect, recenter and reset for the month of September.
In case you haven’t seen resets from previous months, this is a guide to doing a monthly reset so that you can reevaluate your goals, see what you did well over the past 30 days and what you might need to work on over the next four weeks. Incorporating this into my life has helped me stop and smell the roses, get honest with myself about what I really want and realize what goals are attainable so I set myself up for success.
Here’s the breakdown and guide I follow each month for you so that you can start doing it as well and be prepared for every month and take control of the precious time you have. Let’s get to it!

September Monthly Reset
Technically, it’s still summer, and while I am constantly wishing it would hurry up and be over I also am working on staying present and finding joy where I currently am. I’ve still got about a 6 weeks before my pool closes for the season so I’ve still got time to lay out in the sun and enjoy splashing around with friends on these hot days. We’ve been in an extreme heat wave warning for 2 weeks now so cooling off in the pool has been a godsend!
There’s still plenty for me to enjoy this month and goals I’d like to achieve so it’s time to take a look at last month to see what I did and didn’t accomplish so I can properly plan for August.

Clearly I didn’t prioritize work as much as my other focus areas in August but honestly, having the ability to spend my time as I please was one of the biggest reasons I began blogging years ago so I’m not being too hard on myself for this. I’d usually move missed goals into the following month but September is a time I love to savor slowly so they’ll be moving to October instead.
I had an idea for my Health & Wellness goals where I’d see if I could achieve 75 Hard Results with 75 Soft Efforts, but the more I tried it out, the more I realized I want to focus on a 75 Medium Lifestyle (basically a healthy lifestyle with more narrowed down goals). I’m feeling amazing after adding pilates into my daily routine again. Months of putting fitness off to heal an injury was brutal so I’ve been deeply enjoying getting back into a routine.
I couldn’t be more pleased with how I prioritized my Lifestyle goals. I’ve been doing a monthly puzzle since July and it’s truly the most calming way to relax after busier days. The pumpkin patch one I just got is giving me so much joy! I’ve also spent multiple evenings on my patio doing my paint by numbers. Golden Hour has never felt better!
As for the goals I didn’t complete, I’ll be moving them to October and creating actionable steps each week that will help me achieve them. Checklists are your friend!

What did I accomplish this month?
Creating a morning routine that works for me and doing pilates before starting my day has been the most rewarding way to wake up. I missed my reformer so badly and I absolutely love the feeling of crisp, morning air. I’ve felt such a positive shift in my mental health thanks to the time I take for myself throughout the day.
How was I feeling this month? Why?
Peaceful. Taking time to be kind and not push myself too hard has felt amazing.
What events happened this month?
Tennessee State Fair with one of my closest friends. Sheena and I embrace our inner child as much as we can and there’s nothing more nostalgic than hitting the state fair. Riding all the classic carnival rides (and yes, we still climb the Gravitron walls) and enjoying all the fair food that’s terrible for you but tastes amazing—yes, please!
List some things you learned this month.
Being at peace is worth slowing down — even in a world that encourages consistent growth
Caring for your inner child allows you to live as a happier adult
What can I do better next month?
I’m not putting any pressure on the month of September. It’s my birthday month and the [acceptable] beginning to fall—two things I absolutely love to celebrate as I see fit. Giving yourself the freedom to enjoy what you want to without any pressure can do wonders for your mental health and overall happiness. Always find a time create a time to do this for yourself.
Highs and Lows
Highs: riding all the carnival rides I loved as a teenager and enjoying a funnel cake
Lows: honestly, I can’t think of a single low moment for the month
September Goals
Self-Care September is the goal! I’ve already scheduled hair, nail and facial appointments for my birthday weekend, along with a wine night out with my best girlfriends. The rest of the month is dedicated to enjoying as many PSL’s, seasonal movies, outdoor walks and getting out more often for events or just because I feel like it.

I’ve been going through my wardrobe and donating a lot of pieces I simply don’t wear any longer. I’m in my early 30’s now and feel like a majority of my closet is athleisure or reflective of my 20’s—wonderful memories but in need of updating.
This is such a cute new outfit I found and will be wearing out for my birthday dinner with the girls.
If you’ve been wanting to try out Hailey Bieber’s Erewhon Smoothie, you’ve probably heard about Sea Moss Gel. It’s one of the top ingredients that makes the smoothie so good for your skin and health, but it’s really something you should be trying to incorporate into your daily routine for gut health, skin nourishment, a boost to your immune system, energy, and more.
There’s a lot of different options out there but this one is actually harvested from St. Lucia (a very important part of finding sea moss gel that actually provides the desired vitamins & minerals) and had over 10K positive reviews. Can’t wait to test this out and see how well it works.
Save this checklist so you can use it every month!
