October and fall are finally here! Holidays are just a few weeks away, pumpkins are everywhere, leaves are about to change, there’s a crispness in the air that I simply can’t get enough of—everything just feels right. I’m enjoying every single moment of the next few months and here’s what I’m loving for October to welcome the fall season!
A duster cardigan is always a good idea! I practically live in my cardigans when the seasons are changing. It’s not quite cold enough for sweater weather but still need something to feel cozy in once the sun goes down. This oversized one is my new favorite, especially for all my tall girls out there who never find a cardigan with long enough sleeves to actually make you feel encompassed in true comfort, but still cute enough to run out for errands.
I absolutely love a cream blush! This one from Milk gives the perfect hydrating and dewy look to your cheeks, is packed with skin loving ingredients like avocado oil, apricot oil and mango butter, plus it can be used on your lips. With 10 different colors to choose from, you’re sure to find one that’s perfect for fall. My favorite every-day color is Werk (dusty rose) but just added their Quirk (spiced rose) to my beauty collection—perfect for the ‘ber months!
My mother has always given me the best beauty advice and I can still hear her telling me “you can have the best skincare money can buy but if you ignore your hands they’ll sell you out for every year you’re worth”. She was certainly right and I don’t go anywhere without hand cream. During the fall and winter months I use it more often to combat the crisp air drying out my skin.
L’Occitane is one of my favorite beauty brands and has some of the best hand creams! I’ve always got a travel size of this one in my purse and a full size in my nightstand for bedtime.

It’s spooky season and time for your witchy reading must-haves. I am so over the moon about Practical Magic getting a sequel next year with Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock reprising their roles, but every year I have to rewatch my magical favorites and read as many spooky books as possible. Practical Magic is a classic and takes you even deeper into the Owens sisters’ world.
There’s actually four books in Alice Hoffman’s Practical Magic series: Magic Lessons, The Rules of Magic, Practical Magic and The Book of Magic (This is the one Practical Magic 2 is going to be based on). I’m getting these delivered in the next few days and will be reading all of them this month.
Decorating for this time of year is something I always look forward to. I usually have classic white and blue striped placemats on my breakfast bar throughout the year but I switch them out for these on October 1st. They’re a little pricey but I haven’t been able to find anything that’s made nearly as well as Solino Home’s options. This pumpkin shade is the perfect color for the season!
Sweater weather is truly my favorite! I get to feel cozy and effortlessly chic, but sometimes I want to dress up a bit. A two-piece sweater crop top and matching bodycon skirt is the perfect fall must-have for coffee dates, wine nights out with the girls and seasonal events.
Yes, I’m rewatching Gilmore Girls for the 15th time. Yes, I have to enjoy a big cup of coffee with it. And, yes, my coffee tastes better in a Gilmore Girls themed mug!
I especially love that this one is dishwasher safe. I can’t tell you how many mugs I’ve bought over the years that turned into plain white cups or fading half-prints of what they used to be because they can’t handle a single cleaning in the dishwasher.
