Monthly Reset: March 2026

Happy New Year!! Oh wait, am I late to that holiday? 2025 was an interesting one, to say the least, so yes I’m 100% playing catch up. There were many ups and downs for me personally that continued all the way into the new year. To say I went on an unexpected journey would be putting it lightly. Honestly, Bilbo Baggins was more prepared than I was. Now that things are finally getting back to normal, I’m excited to start a new year and make the most of each day while also planning for a bright future.

Let me also say SCREAM from the top of my lungs how grateful I am for all of you! I see all the visits to my posts and y’all sticking with me while I was giving nothing new for a whole two months truly means the world to me!

I clearly missed the mark for New Year’s Resolutions and setting new goals for the year, but it’s never too late to hop back in and start working on what you want for yourself. It’s tempting to try and make up for lost time but if you want to actually enjoy reaching your goals, skip the stress of chasing the past and simply look forward.

March monthly reset routine is here and I’m talking about goal setting for a new month, how I’m preparing for the new season and my monthly favorites. It’s time to reflect, recenter and reset for the month of March!

In case you haven’t seen resets from previous months, this is a guide to doing a monthly reset so that you can reevaluate your goals, see what you did well over the past 30 days and what you might need to work on over the next four weeks. Incorporating this into my life has helped me stop and smell the roses, get honest with myself about what I really want and realize what goals are attainable so I set myself up for success.

Here’s the breakdown and guide I follow each month for you so that you can start doing it as well and be prepared for every month and take control of the precious time you have. Let’s get to it!

March Monthly Reset

The month of March is a major seasonal pivot! It’s all about transition, renewal and growth. Nature is slowly awakening and spring is just around the corner. Being a Nashville girl who just went through the most insane ice storm in the last 30 years, I couldn’t be more thrilled for the sign of anything green popping up and flower buds forming. Nothing makes me want to take my daily walks more than the spring season peaking through the gray and gloom.

Spring cleaning also has me SO excited! Spending all December and January between my house and the hospital coupled with eleven days in a hotel hiding from the bitter cold waiting for power to come back has my home looking like a tornado came through. Slowly but surely I’m getting it back to feeling like a welcoming space. Something about a well kept home is truly the most peaceful feeling!

Financial planning is something I'm getting more serious about, as well. It’s never too early (or too late) to take charge of your finances and build a solid plan for yourself.

Now that I’ve finally taken time to sit down and do some planning for the year and this month, let’s get to it!

Last Month’s Goals

Usually I have goals to reflect on from the previous month but I was just trying to keep my sanity during the last 3 months so this is going to be more like the first time I started doing monthly routines. Time for a literal fresh start!

I like setting 3-4 goals for 3 areas of my life plus making a finance goal so that I keep things compartmentalized and bite-sized.

What did I accomplish this month?

Slowly took control of my surroundings and began getting my life back to normal.

How was I feeling this month? Why?

Grateful.

I certainly went through a lot of stressful moments. Fighting with the medical system to get my mother proper care, losing my sweet kitty Ivy, having to leave my home during the ice storm, dealing with insurance afterwards—which always proves that the only ones covered are the insurance companies. Every struggle felt like a constant hit from behind, but focusing on what I have to be grateful for kept me from spiraling. I was able to have my mother home in time for Christmas. I always loved my home but the newfound appreciation for it runs deep! Life gets stressful but there’s plenty to be grateful for, as well.

What events happened this month?

Galentine’s Brunch with 14 of my favorite tall ladies! My friends Chrissy and Lindsey put together one of the most beautiful events at the Fairlane Hotel in downtown Nashville. The entire day was pink & perfect!

A few days later, I joined my friends Kendall, Chrissy and her sister Laura for another girls night out to experience a new restaurant opening in the Gulch called Zaytinya. The evening was filled with amazing Mediterranean dishes and girlfriends supporting one another. Chrissy also invited me to join her at a new hotel in Hillsboro Village—The Chloe—while she shot footage for their restaurant. Spending quality time with my friends while venturing to new places in town made the month feel like a real treat.

I adopted a cat, whom I’ve named Vivi—short for Vivian. Losing Ivy was sudden and one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. I intended to go to the local shelter just to show some kitties love and hear purring again, but Vivi certainly made the decision for both of us that she would be coming home to join the family.

List some things you learned this month.

Quality time with friends brings so much peace and happiness to your life

Working through issues one by one makes them less scary

Practicing gratitude truly does make your life better

What can I do better next month?

I can take care of my home and spend my time wisely to keep improving every area of my life. Doing this monthly routine is the first step and already making me feel better. Getting back into a routine of taking a morning walk, doing pilates at home followed by working on the blog and the podcast each day is sure to make my month and year better.

Highs and Lows

Highs: Galentine’s Brunch, dinners out with my girlfriends, welcoming Vivi to the family, getting back into my home, meeting my idol Nicole Kidman!

Lows: losing my home for a few weeks

March Goals

March is filled with hope and intention for growth in my book! I have so many plans to get everything back on track and goals I’d like to achieve in each are of my life. It’s tempting to go overboard to make up for the last few months but remember, trying to make up for lost time is simply chasing the past and we’re not going backwards. Looking forward and staying positive is at the top of my must-do list!

A constantly clean home? Yes, please! I’ve been wanting a robot vacuum and mop combo for years and spent a long time choosing the right one. I finally found one with amazing reviews that actually lives up to the hype and keeps my floors clean and smelling amazing! It was a huge plus to find a white one that blends well with my decor.

Y’all know I love to cook but I’ve been diving into baking and loving it! One of my girlfriends, who is the best baker, suggested this book and it did not disappoint. I love having baked goods available at all times and now I can make them all from scratch, knowing exactly what ingredients are in my sweet treats.
