Monthly Reset: June 2026

Word of the Month: Exhilarated

Yes, y’all! Summer time is here and I’m in the mood for all the feel good and carefree I can find!

Honestly, I’m not the biggest summer girlie (I’m truly built for all things fall & Christmas) but I’ve been embracing each season this year to enjoy the entire year. I usually spend this season counting down the days until it’s over so I can whip out my pumpkins but not this year. I refuse to waste the next 90 days waiting for something that will happen whether I count the days down or not. At the risk of being that weirdo who quotes Leo in Titanic: here’s to making each day count!

June monthly reset routine is here and I’m talking about goal setting for a new month, resetting for fall, my monthly favorites and how I’m celebrating the changing season. It’s time to reflect, recenter and reset for the month of June.

In case you haven’t seen resets from previous months, this is a guide to doing a monthly reset so that you can reevaluate your goals, see what you did well over the past 30 days and what you might need to work on over the next four weeks. Incorporating this into my life has helped me stop and smell the roses, get honest with myself about what I really want and realize what goals are attainable so I set myself up for success.

Here’s the breakdown and guide I follow each month for you so that you can start doing it as well and be prepared for every month and take control of the precious time you have. Let’s get to it!

June Monthly Reset

Nothing says summer is here like the first day of June. Each day gets longer and warmer. You hear more kids outside playing (hopefully). It’s finally time to celebrate your friends getting married, enjoy a concert, visit theme parks and water parks. If you’re a plant mama like me then you’re probably noticing all those June-bearing strawberries pinking up all over your garden (because let’s be real, that plant grows like a weed).

I chose “exhilarated” for this month’s focus word because I want to keep that feeling of excitement and motivation while I channel my inner 90’s kid, take on a new challenge and enjoy as much time outdoors with my pups and friends as possible.

This month, my main goals are to channel a nostalgic 90’s style summer, enjoy making healthy meals from my garden (that’s now flourishing), take on a new fitness challenge, and spend as much time outside with my pups as possible. Let’s take a look at last month and start planing for May!

I was thinking about giving it my all in May since April was a much less productive month but, I decided to be present and spend quality time with my mother while she visited, along with spending more time with friends. Apparently, I took the word “reset” more literally than most months. Thanks to that grace period I gave myself, I now feel more confident about taking on more for the month of June.

What did I accomplish this month?

It may not sound like an accomplishment to some, but spending time on my garden, home and welcoming my new pup Charlotte into the family gave me such a sense of pride and happiness.

How was I feeling this month? Why?

Present. I spent a majority of the month being intentional with my time and loved ones. Having my mother visit for two weeks and during Mother’s Day was not an easy feat after her visit in the ice storm. One of my friends is moving to Cabo at the end of June so we’ve had as many wine nights on the patio as we can—especially with her pup Lorenzo who just adores my doodles.

What events happened this month?

Germantown Block Party with one of my best friends and my mom. We also brought Charlotte who was a total show stopper!

List some things you learned this month.

The world won’t end if you stop and slow down

Highs and Lows

Highs: loving my garden, spending quality time with loved ones and watching Charlotte feel safe and loved in a home for the first time in her life

Lows: honestly, I don’t feel like I had any lows

June Goals

Time to let exhilaration take over! I’m putting together a list of things I used to love doing as a kid during summer and checking off as many as I can. I’m so glad I got to grow up in the 90’s but it’s been sad watching many of my favorite pastimes fade away with each year. I’ve been craving a nostalgic summer and ready to feel that sense of excitement and happiness that came during the summer months.

I’ve got a trip planned to Florida in September and exactly enough time to finish a 75 Hard/Medium Challenge the day before heading down there if I start at the end of June. I’ve never been a huge fan of the super restrictive diets and workout routines that do more harm than good so I’m going to see what I’m capable of with a 75 Medium.

I’m also completely head over heels in love with the new Off Campus series (aren’t we all?) and there’s no way I can wait a whole year to see what happens with Dean & Allie so I went ahead and purchased all of the books. I’m hoping to finish the four focus stories this summer and then move on to the Briar U series. Thanks to the 75 Medium Challenge I’ll be making more time for reading and expecting to blaze through them.

K-Beauty is truly amazing! Clean ingredients, real results and pharmacy prices? Yes, please!

I started using BIODANCE’s collagen face mask about a year ago and was so impressed with the results that I had to try out their Caviar PDRN mask and eye patches. These eye patches have made such a difference in the appearance of my under-eyes and can even be used on smile lines and elevens for spot treatment.

I’m switching up my haircare products a little because I’m trying to embrace my natural waves and use less heat. I have styling products that help with volume and hold but I noticed the biggest difference when I began using a hydrating shampoo.

Oribe’s Goldlust collection has been my go-to for a few years but it’s designed to support heat damaged hair. The Supershine line is meant to boost shine and keep hair hydrated—an absolute must in this summer heat!

Even when using my Goldlust line I’ve applied the Supershine Moisturizing Styling Cream and realize how well it works if I forget. The cream is honestly amazing and works as a leave-in-conditioner, heat protection, frizz tamer and shine booster. If you’re not ready to dive into the Oribe shampoo and conditioner (it’s not cheap but it’s worth every penny), I highly suggest trying the styling cream. It will still make a big difference in your hair’s hydration and shine.
