Monthly Reset: July 2025
Alright y’all! We’re more than halfway through 2025! My favorite time of year is just around the corner…I can practically smell the Pumpkin Spice. There’s still a little time before that happens though so let’s make the most of it. It’s time to reflect, recenter and reset for the month of July.
I always do a monthly reset for myself but I realized I hadn’t given a true guide and breakdown of what my resets look like. I’m starting now and will be giving a reset each month for y’all to be able to incorporate it into your lives, as well.

July Monthly Reset
Summer is in full swing, especially here in Nashville. I’m enjoying the sun and pool days but I’m also very ready for this heat wave to be over and for fall to hurry up and get here.
This is always the month that I need to stop and recenter the most. I think it’s because I’ve had two months of summer vibes and now that I’m so close to crisp autumn breezes, pumpkin spice lattes and holiday season I’m constantly wishing July would just be done already. Not exactly the best mindset to make the remainder of summer enjoyable.
I realized that I’m rushing time along and trying to skip a whole month to simply get to a time I want to enjoy more. Just because I’m a winter girlie doesn't mean I can’t enjoy where I’m currently at and make the most of it, which is exactly what I intend to do.
Let’s take a look at last month to see what I did and didn’t accomplish so I can properly plan for July.

Clearly, I was more focused on my health & wellness, but I still think I evenly prioritized my lifestyle and work goals. I’ve been enjoying real, healthy food more than ever before, committing to morning and evening walks with my dog Maddi, making my own green juice each Sunday for the week along with getting more focused with work and scheduling my days better. I finished reading Good Energy by Casey Means and The Little Book of Hygge by Meik Wiking — both of which I’ll be reviewing for y’all shortly.
I didn’t complete a few goals but I still believe they’re attainable so I’ll be moving them to July. Looking back on the previous month’s goals help me decide if something I’ve added to my list is actually attainable or not, which is one of the biggest reasons many of us don’t complete the goals we set for ourselves.

What did I accomplish this month?
This was a good month for my health & wellness and lifestyle. I stuck to my minimum fitness goals and have surprised even myself in the kitchen.
How was I feeling this month? Why?
I was healthier and happier than I had in months. I felt proud of myself for getting my steps in and enjoying the outdoors, even on the days where it felt like I lived in the Sahara Dessert. I could’ve easily told myself it’s too hot outside for a walk but instead I got steps in during the cooler morning and evening weather.
Working on the blog more and redesigning the homepage so that it works better was something I really wanted to focus on. Achieving that goal has made me feel so proud of myself but it’s also helped keep my days more organized. My stress is lower and my body is starting to get used to the schedule I have in place, which is also improving my sleep.
What events happened this month?
CMA Fest! One of my friends works for an artist that was performing at Nissan Stadium so he gave his girlfriend, who’s also one of my best friends, and I tickets to see his boss perform. I typically don’t go downtown—especially when it’s crazy busy like during CMA Fest—but I had so much fun getting to see Ella Langley, Riley Green, Darius Rucker and most of all: Brooks & Dunn! I hadn’t seen them play since their final tour back in 2010 and they’re still amazing to see live!
I house/dogsat for a friend in Belle Meade and brought Maddi & Ivy over. I’d absolutely love to own a home out there one day so a week in a gorgeous dream home watching my dog and her bestie do zooms all day put me into a great mood. It also makes me grateful for my own home though and how I have it setup to work best for me.
List some things you learned this month.
If I practice self-discipline I can achieve my goals.
Practicing gratitude every day has a positive effect on my whole day.
Taking a walk without my phone and simply enjoying my surroundings clears my head better than anything!
What can I do better next month?
I really want to add pilates back into my routine along with growing BetterTogether. I’m putting together my newsletters already and this week I’m setting up the podcast room so I can begin recording again.

I’ve been losing my faith in big Pharma for quite a few years now, but felt a bit lost on what I should get behind instead. This book was amazing!! I learned so much about my body and how to support it better.
There are delicious recipes at the end of the book, as well. I’ve tried a few of them but will definitely be going through as many of them as possible this month.
I’m obsessed with L’Occitane’s products but their Almond Body Oil is a must-have! I usually use their original body oil after each shower but for the summer season I’ve been using the Shimmering Body Oil. I love having that extra glow without looking like I just came out of a gentleman’s lounge and the scent is pure heaven!
Save this checklist so you can use it every month!
